[fa icon="plus-square"] Can we bring a guest?
Yes, every CarGurus President's Club inductee can invite one guest.  Your guest should be a spouse, significant other, sibling, or best friend.  It should be someone that is an important part of your life.  This should not be a co-worker at CarGurus.
[fa icon="plus-square"] When must we RSVP by?

All qualifiers will be notified through email with a link to register by Friday, January 23rd. All registrations must be received by Friday, January 3oth. Please make sure your registration is on time to secure your spot on the March trip.  

[fa icon="plus-square"] What are my flight details?

All flights are required to be booked through Executive Group Travel. Upon completing the registration, a representative from EGT will be in contact within 48 hours with several flight options and once selected, will be booked for you and your guest. We ask that you please do not book a flight on your own.

Executive Group Travel will manage the budget for each attendees flight.  Any flights that go over budget, you will be held responsible for the difference and can cover that through Executive Group Travel.

Please note all flights will be booked by February 9th!

[fa icon="plus-square"] What is needed to travel to Portugal and required at check in?

To enter Portugal and at check-in to the hotel, you will need to present two important things:

1.  Passport Required: For attendees from the US, a valid passport that does not expire for at least 3 months from the day you arrive in Portugal, no Tourist Visa is required. For those traveling from the rest of the world (outside of EU), a passport is required and we recommend looking up any Visa requirements for your specific passport. 

Please note that you are responsible to understand the travel requirements to travel to and from your home country. *This is NOT the responsibility of Executive Group Travel.*

2.  Credit Card: The hotel will ask you to provide a credit card for incidentals (additional charges such as spa, drinks at the bars on property, etc.). Please be aware they will put a hold on that credit card at check-in, then release the hold 24 hours after check-out. We recommend providing a credit card over a debit card, as the debit card will actually debit funds for the hold, then redeposit them after your stay.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Can I come early or extend my trip?

If you are interested in extending your trip this is first come first serve for room availability at the discounted room block rate.  Our contracted group rate is available 2 nights prior to and 2 nights after the event dates. Please contact EGT for pricing details. 

Once Executive Group Travel confirms your extension, you have 72 hours to cancel those nights. After 72 hours, any cancelled nights will be billed back to you through payroll.

Also any additional flight costs and transfer costs for flying earlier/later or to an alternate destination is your responsibility.

[fa icon="plus-square"] How are airport transfers being handled?

Yes, CarGurus will be providing airport transfers for all attendees arriving and departing on group dates to and from the The Ivens Hotel.

For anyone arriving or departing Lisbon outside of the approved group dates, you will be on your own for airport transfers. Uber and Taxis are readily available at the airport. For Ubers, when selecting your pick up location please use "Terminal 1 Kiss and Fly".  When you exit baggage claim please head to the right and up the escalators 1 level. At the top of the escalators please exit out of the doors directly to the left and cross over to the pick up location parking area.

Lyft is NOT Available in Lisbon.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Is this hotel all-inclusive?

The Ivens Hotel in Lisbon is not all inclusive. 

CarGurus has provided 500 EURO per person Mastercard gift card to help defray the cost of food and drinks throughout the trip.  Anything over the 500 EURO (1000 EURO if bringing a guest) will be your responsibility.

**Reminder breakfast is included in your stay at the hotel**

[fa icon="plus-square"] What type of adapter will I need for my electronics?

For those traveling from outside the EU you will need to use an adapter to plug in any electronics.  The wall plugs in Europe are different than the US and UK. We recommend a Type C travel adapters which has two round pins.

The electricity supply in Europe is 220v, which means that appliances using North American voltage (110v) will need a transformer. Many devices like cell phones, laptops, tablets and camera chargers have built in converters and will automatically accommodate the change in voltage (110-240V).

For those looking to plug in a hair straightener or electric shaver we recommend buying an adapters that also converts 110-to-220V.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Is the on-site meeting required?

Yes the meeting is required for all CarGurus employees who are attending the trip!  Guests may enjoy their morning at leisure.  Please be on time.

[fa icon="plus-square"] Will CarGurus provide per diem or should we expense meals?

CarGurus will provide a Mastercard gift card that you can use on property to help cover meals outside the group dining provided.  Please do not expense any additional food or beverage costs.  Any amount spent over the resort credit will be the individuals responsibility at check-out.

[fa icon="plus-square"] If the itinerary changes, how will I stay updated?

There will be two options.

1.  Download the Trip Plans app that Executive Group Travel sends you, it will be hard to survive this trip without it. It provides everything from hotel confirmation # to flight details to airport transfer information!

2.  The website will also have all updates posted before the event and during the event.
